What a great idea! It was my pleasure to work with Posthaste Software to help expand their album maker to include a separate version for adoptive families right on the same CD - nothing extra to purchase.

Based on the traditional paper baby book and photo album, Baby's Keepsake Album on CD allows you to record up to 25 pages of your special memories -- from the beginning of the adoption process, your baby's homecoming, and through the next five years.

Growing Up - 2 Years Old:

Includes pages for ages 3 months through 18 months at 3 month intervals and yearly from ages 2 to 5 years. (Delete any pages not appropriate for your child's personal history.)

By choosing paper with a decorative background or border or by using stickers, stamps or your own artwork you can personalize your printed album. This also allows you to create unique albums for different children. Select the font color and margins for printing to match paper that you choose and voila - a new album to enjoy and share
Create your own adoption announcements!

You may edit the wording and say anything you would like! You may also select your font, font color, font size and alignment.

Versions for birth and adoptive parents on one CD - works with Windows 95 on up

Use for adopted and/or biological children. Each time you open a new Baby's Keepsake Album file you will be asked to select whether the child is adopted or biological and your album will then contain appropriate pages based on your response. Works for all kinds of adoptions for all kinds of families, too!

  • Instead of pages for recording pregnancy information, you will have a page where you can record information about your preparations for adopting. The 'Baby's Arrival' page lets you capture the special memories of your baby's homecoming. The 'Family Tree' page allows (but does not require) you to enter a family tree for both the child's adoptive family and birthfamily. You may choose to 'hide' any pages that you don't wish to use. You may want to do this, for example, if you adopted your child at 6 months of age, and don't want to use the '3 month old' page. Along those same lines, all skills on the 'Milestones' page are editable. So, for example, if your baby already knew how to roll over when he or she was adopted, you could change that milestone to another skill.
     
  • Print as many copies of your Baby's Keepsake Album as you wish. By choosing paper with a decorative background or border or by using stamps, stickers or your own artwork, you can customize the look of your printed book. You may also include additional mementos into your printed book, such as your child's footprints or artwork for a complete scrapbook of your child's first five years.
     
  • Customize! Include holidays, events and milestones important to YOU. Most entries can be edited to reflect your family's special occasions and events.
     
  • Print Birth or Adoption Announcements! The Baby's Keepsake Album will create a birth or adoption announcement from the information you enter, you just add the parent's names, choose a picture and they're ready to print! Or you may edit the wording, font and color to make them your own unique creation!
     
  • Display digital photographs and other images, a referral photo, your child's footprints or artwork. The also let's you enter a caption for each image.
     
  • Create personalized growth charts automatically from the heights and weights you enter. You can then switch between a bar graph and a line graph with the click of a mouse.
     
  • Enter a nearly unlimited number of messages from family and friends.
