She asks them to tell her about how the phone rang to tell them of her birth, how they traveled by airplane to see her at the hospital, how they brought her home and made her their own.

It does not delve into the complexity of adoptive dynamics, but simply affirms family love, the pleasure to be had when coming a parent, especially for the first time, and the enjoyment all children feel when told about their birth or when they first joined their forever families.
