You can't know where you're going until you understand where you've been. Artist and adoptive mom, Becky Thrasher, developed the Birth Country Maps series to rejoice in her son's Korean heritage and you won't find a more beautiful or heartfelt interpretation anywhere. An impressionistic topographical representation of your child's birth country, each map is individually hand-painted in watercolor and signed by the artist. They are personalized with the city/village your child was adopted from/born in. Mounted on ACID FREE art paper with name and child's arrival date, all lettering is customized. Each piece is an original watercolor painting (not a print). They are not generated by computer or painted once, scanned and printed. What you get is a unique creation of the artist's hand.

Each painting is mounted on card stock weight, acid-free paper.

TWO SIZES

5" x 7" - (vertical map measures 3 3/4"x 5"; horizontal map measures 3 1/2"x 5 3/4") unframed - cost $39.00 (includes shipping)

8" x 10" - (vertical map measures 6 1/2"x 8"; horizontal map measures 8 1/2"x 6" unframed (framing not available at this time) - cost $55.00 (includes shipping)

Each painting includes an extra inch or two to accomodate name and date personalization. NOTE - Your map will NOT include the artist's watermark. We include the watermark to protect her copyright. They make wonderful gifts for a child's homecoming, birthday, adoption day, or other special event. Please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery from receipt of your order.
