I began Adopting from Korea while awaiting my son's arrival from Seoul. I developed it, in part, because I needed someplace to focus my energies while waiting for our little boy to come home. The other part was because, in all my web searches, there wasn't one single site that explained the Korean adoption process clearly and easily enough for me. So, when I couldn't find the information I was looking for in a single place, I created it myself.

Almost 1-1/2 years later, I found myself awaiting another child from Korea, our 2nd daughter, and once again I decided to develop a website to keep me busy.

AdoptShoppe, like Adopting from Korea, was created to fill an online void. I wanted to build a small shop for adoptive parents to find items of usefulness, value, and beauty that I wasn't finding anywhere else. Over time, I've developed some resources myself. I also continue to network with other like-minded adoption entrepreneurs and skilled artisans.
